Buggy Tour Insurance in Mallorca: What Is Covered (and What Isn't)

Every Dragon Buggy tour includes compulsory third-party liability insurance and occupant insurance. It is not fully comprehensive: damage to the buggy itself and personal belongings are not covered.
Insurance is one of the questions we hear most before a tour, and it deserves a clear answer before you book. Here is exactly what is included in the price and what is not.
What the included insurance covers
- Compulsory third-party liability insurance. Like every motor vehicle on Spanish roads, our buggies carry the compulsory civil liability insurance that covers damage caused to other people and their property.
- Occupant insurance, as required by law. The driver and passengers of each buggy are covered by occupant insurance in line with the regulations.
Both are included in the price of every route. There is nothing extra to buy or sign up for.
What it does not cover
- Damage to the buggy itself. The insurance is not fully comprehensive (there is no "all-risk" option), so damage to the vehicle you are driving is not covered.
- Personal belongings. Phones, cameras, sunglasses, bags and other personal items are not covered, including loss or theft.
How to enjoy the tour without worries
- Follow your guide. Before setting off, your instructor explains how the buggy works and the route. Keep to the pace and the instructions during the tour.
- Travel light. Leave valuables at your hotel and bring only what you need: sunglasses, sun cream, and swimwear and a towel if your route includes a beach stop.
- Secure your things. Keep your phone in a zipped pocket or a small bag, and hold on to anything loose while driving.
And remember: our buggy tours are not off-road. They are guided routes designed to enjoy Mallorca's coast and mountain roads at a comfortable pace.
Questions before you book?
If anything about the insurance is unclear, message us on WhatsApp or call +34 638 043 476 before you book. We are happy to explain it.

Good to know: Our buggy tours are NOT off-road.
In Mallorca, buggies may only be driven on paved roads. Environmental regulations and current permits expressly prohibit driving off paved roads.
